Recently, UGC urged all the higher educational institutions (HEIs) to participate in a survey on students' mental health and well-being through the National Task Force portal without any delay. The Supreme Court observed that several institutions have not yet responded to the NTF survey, failing to which, an action will be taken.
Earlier in October 2025, UGC published the list of 22 fake universities, which were functioning without any proper recognition.
