Government invites students, parents, teachers to suggest reforms in public examinations
The Government of India has invited students, parents, teachers and citizens to share their suggestions on improving the public examination system. The consultation will be conducted by the High-Powered Task Force (HPTF) on reforms related to public examinations.
In a public consultation notice, the task force is asking for feedback from people who have experience with public examinations. They can suggest ways that can make the process of conducting public examinations in India fair, reliable and transparent. People can give their feedback in English, Hindi or any regional language of their choice.
Citizens can also express their views through WhatsApp, the official website, email or the toll-free helpline. People can easily submit their suggestions through these channels. The last date to submit suggestions is September 13, 2026.

They can also submit their views on the official website of the task force or call the toll-free number 1800-180-4747. Students, parents, teachers and citizens can also drop an email at ExamReformsTaskforce@dopt.gov.in.
The public consultation will offer students and other stakeholders an opportunity to share their recommendations and experiences on examination-related issues. Students can point out problems they have faced during giving exams. Parents and teachers, meanwhile, can share their input on their experiences with the public examination system.
Public exams are important for education and recruitment, so it is necessary to have a fair and reliable examination system. - Creation and augmentation of examination infrastructure
- Inclusive examination framework for better access across social, economic, regional and linguistic groups
- Transparency, grievance redressal and stakeholder communication
- Measures to promote student well-being thoughout the examination process
- Any other measure that may add value in the examination system
