Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon has received the EQUIS (EFMD Quality Improvement System) accreditation, completing its Triple Crown status with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the Association of MBAs (AMBA) accreditations. With this recognition, MDI Gurgaon joins a limited group of business schools worldwide holding all three international accreditations.
The EQUIS accreditation process evaluates institutions across areas including governance, teaching, research, internationalisation, ethics, and engagement with business and society. The assessment also focuses on alignment between institutional strategy, academic delivery, and measurable outcomes.
MDI Gurgaon stated that the accreditation reflects recent developments in curriculum design, international academic collaborations, research output, and industry engagement across its programmes. The institute has expanded partnerships with overseas universities, introduced global immersion opportunities, and strengthened collaborative research initiatives.

Commenting on the development, director Arvind Sahay said: “EQUIS accreditation is a testimony to MDI Gurgaon’s academic strength, global vision, and commitment to shaping responsible leaders. Earning the Triple Crown places us in a highly selective global league and reinforces our aspiration to be a management institution that is internationally benchmarked yet deeply connected to Indian business realities.”
EQUIS accreditation is awarded by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and is held by fewer than one per cent of business schools globally.
Avanish Kumar, dean (Accreditation and Ranking) added, “Triple Crown accreditation symbolises institutionalisation and internalisation of global standards in our teachings, research and training. More importantly it bestows a seamless confluence of our policies-practices. For our students, it improves scope and scale of their sphere of influence with this global acknowledgement. It also reinforces their choice of opting MDI as a student and builds confidence in their roots, which have global standards.”
