Several private medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh have reduced the tuition fees far below the charges fixed by the UP state fee regulator for the academic session 2025-26, which will save about Rs 25 lakh to Rs 50 lakh per student over the period of three years.
The Directorate Generate of Medical Education and Training (DGME) has uploaded the UP NEET PG annual tuition fee structure for several private colleges on the official website, upneet.gov.in, amid the ongoing counselling session.
The fee structure has been notified as private colleges in the state have decided to lower the fees than the limit approved by the fee regulator for non-clinical subjects such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology, and Community Medicine.
The decision was taken "to make medical education more accessible and support aspiring professionals in their advanced studies", the colleges said.
The United Institute of Medical Sciences, Prayagraj, recorded the highest government-fixed fee at Rs 17,23,022 per year, which has been reduced to Rs 55,000 for non-clinical programmes. A fee cut to Rs 11,000, which saves students Rs 50.04 lakh over three years, the highest full-course fee reduction among the private medical colleges.
At GS Medical College and Hospital Hapur, the highest annual tuition fee fixed by the UP government was Rs 13.68 lakh, which has also been slashed to Rs 11,000 saving Rs 40.71 lakh for three-year period, highest reduction among the colleges.
Meanwhile, Hind Institute of Medical Science Barabanki has also annunced to charge tuition fee below the fixed rates by the state government. Three courses – pathology, community medicine, and microbiology, have been revised to Rs 6 lakh, while exact fee for the remaining could not be calculated as it has been marked zero in the list.
Muzaffarnagar Medical College has the highest UP government-fixed annual tuition fee of Rs 8,93,521, however the revised fee ranges between Rs 50,000 to Rs 75,000 leading to a total reduction over three years to Rs 25.30 lakh.

The second-highest government-fixed annual fee was at Rs 8,88,056 for Rohilkhand Medical College and Hospital Bareilly. However, the college has decided to offer a concession on the fee structure for certain Medical Postgraduate (MD/MS) subjects, with an aim to make medical education more accessible.
The fee has been reduced to Rs 50,000 which will reduce the total three-year course fee by Rs 25.14 lakh.

Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital, Shahjahnpur has also slashed the fee structure fixed by the UP government from over Rs 14 lakh to just Rs 2 lakh, saving aspirants Rs 37.27 lakh.

At GS Medical College and Hospital, Hapur, the highest annual tuition fee fixed by the Uttar Pradesh government stood at Rs 13,68,036, which has been reduced to Rs 11,000 for certain non-clinical MD courses. The total fee reduction of Rs 40.71 lakh over three-year duration – the highest among the listed colleges.

For select non-clinical programmes at the United Institute of Medical Sciences, Prayagraj, the fee has been revised down to Rs 55,000. This will save Rs 50.04 lakh over three years, the highest absolute fee reduction among all the institutes.

The highest annual tuition fee approved by the UP government was Rs 16 lakh, which has been reduced to Rs 11,000 per annum for non-clinical MD courses. The total fee reduction over three-year will be Rs 47.94 lakh.
